| Frequntly Asked Questions |
| Q | I live in a listed building. Can I use Conservatory-planning.co.uk to apply for permission.? |
| A | Yes you can. Please e-mail us with your address & proposal as we will need to discuss with you in more detail and can then confirm a price for planning permission and listed building consent. The No Win, No Fee promise is not available for this type of property. |
| Q | I am building on the boundary of my garden so the conservatory replaces the fence which separates my garden from my neighbours. What do I need to do? |
| A | We can apply for planning permission for this situation. You will need to speak with your neighbours & complete a party wall agreement LINK. Once your neighbour has signed the agreement e-mail this to us with your completed self survey form. If your neighbour refuses to agree we recommend you alter your proposal to move it away from the boundary as without your neighbours agreement planning permission will not be granted by the local authority |
| Q | I live in a ground floor flat. Do I need planning permission for a conservatory that would normally be considered permitted development? |
| A | If you live in a flat or any other leasehold or shared freehold property you will automatically need planning permission for any conservatory. If your flat is leasehold or share of freehold it is excluded from our no win, no fee promise |
| Q | What happens if my planning permission is refused? |
| A | We look at the reason for refusal & re-submit an alternative scheme or appeal the decision. This is no extra charge from us or the local authority. If we still cant get it approved we refund your money if as long as your property meets our no win no fee criteria (link to no win no fee promise)If your flat is leasehold or share of freehold it is excluded from our no win, no fee promise |
| Q | What happens if I want to change my plans before I have approved the drawings. |
| A | Send in a revised self survey form & we will draw up the plans accordingly |
| Q | What happens if I want to change my plans after I have approved them & they have been submitted? |
| A | If the alteration is small e.g Dwarf wall height, change of roof from polycarbonate to glass, then we will try to obtain a minor amendment from the local authority. If you want a larger change (e.g increase projection size by 600mm) we will need to resubmit the planning permission which will be a new planning application at the full charge. BE CAREFUL WITH THE DETAILS WE SEND FOR YOU TO APPROVE SO THIS SITUATION DOESN'T HAPPEN. |
| Q | I am checking my plans before approving them & I need to change a detail. What do I do? |
| A | E-mail the draughtsperson back with details of the change required. We will amend the plans free of charge & re-send them for approval. |
| Q | I am in a hurry to get started. Can I start building before I receive the permission |
| A | We seriously recommend you don't as if its refused you will be liable for all costs |
